Librelato strengthens connectivity across factory and office with RUCKUS Wi-Fi
As Librelato expanded its industrial footprint across Brazil, its legacy Wi-Fi infrastructure began to struggle to support high device density and critical operations. By migrating to RUCKUS Wi-Fi with centralized management, the company achieved better performance, broader coverage, and a more reliable wireless network to support growth, productivity, and innovation.

With a strong presence in the road transport and agricultural sectors, Librelato S.A. is among the three largest trailer manufacturers in Brazil. The company operates in every Brazilian state and in five other countries, is the sector’s second-largest exporter, and produces more than 13,500 units per year, especially semitrailers of various types.
Throughout its trajectory, Librelato has combined market tradition with constant technological updates, using modern equipment such as laser and plasma cutting machines to cut the steel plates used in the manufacture of semitrailers and tanks for liquid transport—applications that require a highly reliable Wi-Fi infrastructure.
As its operations grew, the company identified limitations related to stability, centralized management, and performance in higher-density environments. With the increasing number of connected devices and the need for greater reliability to support business operations, challenges emerged such as performance fluctuations, greater sensitivity to interference, and limitations in advanced signal optimization and traffic control features.
As Librelato expanded, its legacy Wi-Fi infrastructure could no longer keep up with demand for high device density and critical operations. The project developed in partnership between RUCKUS and Protect Solutions fully addressed the company’s three main needs: performance, coverage, and management. “We no longer receive complaints or reports of connection problems. And now we all have more time and energy to focus on other activities without worrying about the Wi-Fi signal,” says Felipe Ronchi Paes, Infrastructure Analyst at Librelato S.A.

The Challenge: Unreliable connectivity, coverage gaps, and performance instability began impacting productivity at scale
With more than 2,000 employees spread across factories, offices, stores, and showrooms, Librelato needed a Wi-Fi network capable of supporting high device density, industrial interference, and business-critical applications.
Its existing wireless infrastructure could not deliver consistent performance. Connection drops, limitations in centralized management, and coverage failures began to affect productivity, data collection, and daily operations. As the company continued to expand through new facilities and acquisitions, upgrading Wi-Fi without disrupting production became a priority.
The Solution: Modernizing Wi Fi with RUCKUS delivered scalable performance, reliable coverage, and centralized control
Working with Protect Solutions, Librelato modernized its wireless infrastructure with RUCKUS SmartZone controllers and RUCKUS access points tailored for both industrial and administrative environments.
Deployment began with a small-scale proof of concept to validate performance under real-world conditions. After successful testing, the company gradually migrated to RUCKUS across its sites, ensuring a smooth transition without operational interruptions.

Advanced features such as automatic RF optimization, centralized management, and intelligent load balancing delivered consistent performance—even in industrial areas with high interference and offices with high user density.
The new wireless infrastructure enables Librelato teams to securely collect production data, access real-time metrics, and maintain mobility throughout industrial facilities, including in areas where cabling is impractical.
In administrative environments, stable, high-performance Wi-Fi supports a growing number of devices per employee, improving collaboration and eliminating connectivity bottlenecks. The result is a network designed to scale Librelato’s continued expansion.
Key Results: RUCKUS modernization delivered up to 40% better performance and 50% fewer support tickets at scale
Librelato achieved a step change in network performance and reliability after deploying RUCKUS Wi‑Fi, improving performance and stability by 30%–40% while expanding coverage by 25%–35% to eliminate dead zones across its facilities. IT efficiency also improved significantly, with a 40%–50% reduction in Wi‑Fi support tickets, enabling teams to operate without interruptions and focus on core business operations with a scalable, high-performance wireless network.
“With RUCKUS equipment, we eliminated recurring Wi-Fi problems in both manufacturing and administrative environments. The results fully met our expectations, and today we no longer receive complaints about connectivity.”
