E6D241: Remote MACPHY Overview and Implementation - L2/CLI version

Category Name: Distributed Access Architecture

Course Description

This two-day, instructor-led training course presents the CommScope Distributed CCAP Architecture (DCA) Remote MACPHY solution. The course covers the benefits of Remote MACPHY, a hardware overview, Remote PHY protocols, using CLI commands for basic Layer 2 configuration, plus maintenance, and troubleshooting features.

Note: This course is presented live virtually for approximately two four-hour days.

Audience

CATV head-end personnel, network engineers, and field personnel responsible for networks that provide high-speed data-over-cable services.

Objectives

  • Recognize how implementing Remote MACPHY is a phase of the decentralization and virtualization that will enable MSOs to handle ever-increasing bandwidth demands.
  • Identify and describe key system components
  • Review protocols that are used in Remote MACPHY system
  • Identify the basic groups of basic commands that are used to configure a CommScope RD2322 Remote MACPHY
  • Review commands that may be used when performing maintenance and troubleshooting in the RMD system.
