VCCAP201 vCCAP Evo Operations / curriculum

This course contains the curriculum in which students will have access to the prerequisite online, eLearning course, vCCAP101 vCCAP Evo Overview, and then have access to select a training class session for the instructor-led VCCAP201 vCCAP Evo Operations training class.

VCCAP101: vCCAP Evo Overview (online - prerequisite for the instructor-led training course)
- This eLearning (online) training course presents an overview of the CommScope vCCAP Evo virtual Converged Cable Access Platform (Duration: 20-30 minutes)
VCCAP201: vCCAP Evo Operations (Instructor-led training course)
- This instructor-led training course presents the CommScope vCCAP Evo and learn the essential steps to configure a virtual Cable Modem Termination System (CMTS).
- The course consists of instructor-led presentation and lecture, combined with student hands-on opportunities to enter CLIs to configure a vCCAP and run show commands.
- Each section of the course also provides self-assessment questions so that students can test their retention of the information that was covered.
Audience: CATV head-end personnel, network engineers, and field personnel responsible for networks that provide high-speed data-over-cable services.
Prerequisites: A basic understanding of CATV systems, RF plant fundamentals, and data networking. The student should also have DOCSIS knowledge (TEC202 and/or TEC301 and TEC302 recommended). Also recommended but not essential is command line experience configuring a CMTS, such as the C100G or the E6000 CER.
