Description
This eLearning (online) training course is a prerequisite to the VCCAP201: vCCAP EVO Operations instructor-led training course. It presents on overview of the architecture and features of the virtual CCAP and prepares the student for the instructor-led portion of the vCCAP Evo training. This online course must be completed successfully before access to selecting an instructor-led scheduled training session is granted.
Audience
CATV head-end personnel, network engineers, and field personnel responsible for networks that provide high-speed data-over-cable services.
Objectives
- Understand how a basic vCCAP instance is configured.
- Have a basic understand of how video is configured with the vCCAP.
- Realize how the vCCAP EVO is be designed to allow redundancy.

Course Specifics
Prerequisites: A basic understanding of CATV systems, RF plant fundamentals and data networking.
The student should also have DOCSIS knowledge and prior working experience with the E6000 CER. E6D201: E6000 CER Operations instructor-led course with E6D101: E6000 CER Hardware Overview, and Understanding of DOCSIS (TEC202, E6D103, and/or TEC301 and TEC302) Recommended.
Duration: approximately 30-40 minutes
Delivery: online - as part of the VCCAP201: vCCAP Evo Operations course curriculum.
