WYND builds AI environmental sensors that detect recreational smoking inside guest rooms and residential units, then document each incident with a timestamped record property teams can act on. WYND Sentry is deployed across hotels, multifamily communities, senior living, and short-term rentals.
Sentry connects as a standard Wi-Fi client, so no IoT gateway, hub, or overlay network is required. Sensors join the wireless infrastructure a property already owns and begin reporting the same day, turning that network into a continuous layer of asset protection.

The combined solution extends the property network into an environmental protection platform. RUCKUS provides the wireless foundation and secure device onboarding, while WYND delivers the detection, alerting, and evidence layer that property teams use to enforce a smoke-free policy.

RUCKUS wall-mounted access points such as the H350, H550, and H670 sit in the same guest rooms and units as the sensors, providing the dense, consistent coverage continuous reporting depends on.
Secure onboarding on the existing SSID
Dynamic Pre-Shared Key gives each sensor its own passphrase, and an identity can carry a VLAN assignment, so sensor traffic stays separated from guest and resident Wi-Fi.
Scalable across properties
RUCKUS One manages wireless and switching from one console, so sensor fleets deploy and stay supported consistently from a single property to a full portfolio.

- Not a life-safety device. WYND states that Sentry is not meant to replace a regular smoke detector
- Measures sound levels only. Per WYND, Sentry cannot capture conversations and does not store or transmit sound data
