RUCKUS WIRELESS NEWS
- The new RUCKUS SmartZone (ST-GA) Patch 1 has been released and AFC is fully supported. Automated Frequency Coordination (AFC) is a technology enabling Wi-Fi to function within the frequency spectrum shared by licensed users, particularly within the 5.925–6.425 GHz (U-NII-5) and 6.525–6.875 GHz (U-NII-7) frequency ranges. Please read the related release notes and User Guide for more info.
- New RUCKUS Network Director 4.5 is available on our Support portal. You can find all the new features in the release notes.
- Please contact me directly if you would like to take part in our Beta program for the new RUCKUS upcoming WiFi 7 AP R670 and T670.
RUCKUS ICX
- A new RUCKUS ICX FastIron 10.0.10c_cd3 patch release is available on our support portal. This is a FastIron Continuous Deployment (CD) release, which addresses a smaller number of issues than a single-letter patch release or a major release. You can find more info on the release notes.
- RUCKUS FastIron 09.0.10j_cd2 patch is available on our support portal. You can find here the release notes for more info.
GOOD TO KNOW
- Attention everyone! Flexera (the company we use for licensing server) is moving their service to AWS. This means that their IP addresses are changing. If you have any SZ customers that block outbound communications they may need to update their firewall rules to allow communication with the licensing server. The TSB can be found here.
- Visio Stencils Available in Intangi Iris: If you’re using Intangi Iris, you can export the design to Visio for all RUCKUS Networks products. You might have to spend some time with the links between switches and APs to make it look good, but it’s a big time saver if you need to create a BoM + Visio drawing. Tools -> Export -> Block Diagram Export in IRIS.
- Interesting article praising RUCKUS One and AI-Driven Wi-Fi 7
